Pegs and Pints

| | |
Summary: A pub/disc type thing near Chanakya Theatre in Chanakya Puri, Delhi.
Description:

I hung around waiting there for people to arrive. Plays Bollywood Music which I don't mind but I got bored listening to Himesh Reshammiya.

Sairee told me this is probably one of the afternoon discs where the college crowd hangs out.

Well, costly place. Wouldn't really go back there unless I'm staying in Chanakya Puri again and bored.

Fujiya

| | | | |
Summary: Fujiya is a Chinese / Japanese restaurant on Malcha Marg, Chanakya Puri, Delhi.
Description:

Fujiya is a Chinese / Japanese restaurant on Malcha Marg, Chanakya Puri, Delhi.

It has some 5 or 6 token Japanese Dishes, 2 of which are Tofu. I guess that's how they qualify themselves as a Japanese place. :)

Since I wasn't too hungry and didn't feel like experimenting much I had Veg Fried Wontons, Lamb Chilli and a Kingfisher. The lamb was quite good but the beer was flat and the wontons were too oily.

Since they pretend to be a posh place they messed up by trying to get me seated at the end of a large table along with a family of four. The head of the family threw a fit and demanded that they get a separate table. I was on the phone and mostly oblivious to what was going on around me.

Finally I got seated at a 3 person table and funnily enough very close to a four person table where the earlier mentioned family later came and sat.

Average Chinese place. Wouldn't really recommend it or go there myself unless I have to eat for survival or something

Lotus Garden

| | | | |
Summary: Chinese and Japanese restaurant in Delhi
Description:

Lotus Garden is another of the Delhi Chinese restaurants pretending to be Japanese as well. At least this one had more Jap dishes and only one Tofu dish.

It is on Malcha Marg next to Fujiya or Moti Mahal Deluxe Bar and Restaurant.

The only good thing about this place. It has Happy Hours, 30% off on alcohol before 8 and you can pre-order for the night in advance.

Amateurish but decent service. The well dressed waiter tried to speak English for a while then just gave up realizing I was making him repeat everything he said. Well I really didn't understand what he meant by "We are naat having keerawood". :)

Average eat only for survival in Chanakya Puri area kind of place.
