Yo Place. Yo Food. Yo Returns
Submitted by bobby on Mon, 01/10/2007 - 16:43. Delhi | Restaurant | Chinese | Part of a chainI am Bobby Sarna the Franchisee of two Yo China outlets at Rajouri Garden, Delhi and one at Shipra Mall, Ghaziabad.
I am disturbed by the fact that some vested interest is writing all malicious and false stories on the Franchisee Module and the Brand.
let me inform one and all that we as thr Franchisee of Yo china are very happy and satisfied with the brand Yo China. We have witnessed a 30 % growth in Same Store Sale. A feat not achieved in any F&B outlets or brands. Even the international brands do not come close to this percentage. The model is profitable.
In fact we are contemplating on entering into the third franchisee agreement with Moods Hospitality P Ltd. the parent company of Yo China.
There is a great deal of support from Moods Hospitality P Ltd, and we enjoy a very meaningful association with them.
Our customers swear by the consistent good quality and reasonably priced dishes.

Way to go YO!!!
Submitted by Prajakta B on Thu, 24/05/2007 - 18:23. Vasant Vihar | Restaurant | ChineseThrilled after watching the amazing 'Spiderman 3' movie, my friends & I visited the Yo! China outlet located right outside Priya's. The place is gud, spacious but generally crowded at
weekends. Of the mocktails, I recommend the 'Lichi Sling'. The combo meals are economical and
offer great value for money. On the flop side, service is a slow on weekends. But
if you can be patient, your taste buds are in for a treat...!!!
Way to go YO!!!!!
Essex Farms
Submitted by nehajhingon on Wed, 09/05/2007 - 17:24. Delhi | Restaurant | Continental | Mughlai | AffordableIn all my years in Delhi, I never knew that essex farms had a great restaurant and banquet hall. Built on a nice and airy plot near Mother's international school, this place is an ideal for a nice quiet evening with family.
The prices were quite reasonable and the menu though limited, has a lot of dishes unheard of... Tamatar Musallam and Corn Jalfrezi were things I had NEVER seen in a Mughlai restaurant.
The ambiance was very nice and you could have a private cabin, the usual noisy do or an evening under the stars. That was a choice you had! We picked the private cabin which was quite cozy for 8 people and since it was a round table, it seemed as if we were having a nice family dinner with exotic food... Quite Cool!
The only thing that irked me a bit was that they charged 55 bucks for one bottle of water...
A good experience altogether!
Bennigan's Grill and Tavern
Submitted by nehajhingon on Mon, 07/05/2007 - 17:31. Delhi | Elite Restaurant | American | Italian | Mexican | Seafood | Rich and FamousIf you're looking for a nice place to unwind in the evening and of course - if you have much cash to spare, Bennigan's is the place to go to.
The first time I went there, it was because I had never been to a 'Tavern' and the name fascinated me. Great ambience, very prompt service and good portions of food...
If you're there, do try their Daqueries and Martinis (the Death by Chocolate Martini was what brought me back to Bennigan's thrice) The crisp chicken wings are very tasty and so is the chicken platter - grilled to a tangy perfection... I also enjoyed the fetuccini alfredo which was quite delicately laced with a taste of garlic and mushrooms. Quite nice I tell you.
You might come out feeling a big dent in your pocket though... but if it's a once in a while affair... it's worth it!

soothing music
well mannered staff
Impressive wine list
The food (every single thing) from soups to the desserts is delicious.
The prices are, to put it mildly .. exhorbidant.
The portions are ...well, lets just say that my 2 year old niece eats larger helpings than the ones served here.
A must visit for special occasions, if you do not mind the price and are on a diet.
cheers~
The All American Diner
Submitted by epicurean on Thu, 18/01/2007 - 10:15. Delhi | Lodhi Road | Bar | Cafe | Restaurant | Snack Joint | American | Rich and Famous
Promising to keep up with the popular diners brand, this place serves some nice pancakes, toasts , burgers and all that makes up for an american breakfast along with some seldom found main course items.
I found the potato/veg pancakes rare and quite satisfactory to my taste buds. The food is fresh, less spicy(even the spiciest might not be spicy for indian taste) and looks exotic in presentation as well.
The drinks cover almost all cocktails, mocktails and general hard drinks but also include some innovative alcohol-coffee combinations which look very tempting to be tried.
The decor is made up to suit the 50-60's retro look, what with some red-ed setup and everything matching up to it and while you dine, rock'n'roll with Elvis :)

Minar
Submitted by solzaire on Fri, 17/11/2006 - 17:42. Delhi | Connaught Place | Bar | Restaurant | Indian | Mughlai | Punjabi | Must VisitEveryone has one (or a few) standard joints they have gone to since childhood, and whose food they remember and cherish forever. For me, one such place is the inimitable Minar. Situated in L block, Connaught place, outer circle, it is a simple Mughlai, Punjabi food joint. One of the many restaurant/bar family dining options with stereotype seating for that area, and typical uncles serving you for years together. But it has a special place in my heart, and I've eaten here once a month since I came back to Delhi.
Do not miss the signature Dal Makhani and the Paneer dishes here, be it Tikka, Shahi, or Mutter. The Malai Kofta is different, and the non-veg dishes are typical and nice too. Expect to spend around 250-300 per person, more if alcohol, and be satiated. Chill out with a beer, and enjoy the shalgham ka achaar and lachhedar pyaaz. Enough said, I am off to CP.
Aap Ki Khatir
Submitted by Gundasami on Sun, 22/10/2006 - 18:35. Delhi | Lodhi Road | Roadside | Indian | Must VisitSome of the best Kakori Kebabs, Mutton Tikkas and Burras I have ever had. Melt in the mouth kebabs. Been there quite a few times but never gone beyond the Mutton Kebabs as they're just incredibly fantastic. Definitely one of the upsides about Delhi is the generally decent mutton but this place just elevates it to another level.
Opens only in the evening from 7ish and closes by 11ish. Go early to avoid missing the Kakori kebabs. Order one of the crispy Parathas and the half decent dal for variety from the meat. But for gods sake focus on the meat and nothing but the meat.
Yo China
Submitted by solzaire on Mon, 09/10/2006 - 18:17. Delhi | Vasant Vihar | Restaurant | Snack Joint | Chinese | AffordableYo! China is a nice decent affordable desi chinese joint in PVR Priya complex in Vasant Vihar. With three levels of seating you usually get space unless it is a weekend evening. The service is decent for a quick eat fast-food joint.
The food is very well presented, and the portions are really large. The single and double meal combos in the 120-180 range approximately are value for money and fill you up very nicely. The mocktails are really good, though the dimsums are ok. Other starters are decent - though one rarely has space for anything after the meal combos. They have a take-away cart on the outside which is cool in my opinion.
